Plant Industry Forum members hold an industry membership with Plant Health Australia (PHA)
Being a member of PHA enables both plant industry members and governments to provide input into and agree on the future needs of the plant biosecurity system. Members are able to liaise with PHA in navigating plant biosecurity risks, pathways and receive assistance in navigating biosecurity incidents and responses.
PIF members are able to be a signatory to the Emergency Plant Pest Response Deed (EPPRD), which provides a framework for the management and responses to emergency plant pest incursions and allows members to participate in decision-making.
Plant industry members can use a PHA levy mechanism for membership fees and to fund projects to improve industry biosecurity.
